Covest always works on legal questions together with a lawyer from its own network who specialises in NPLs. In this way Covest can supply thoroughly informed advice, e.g. on questions of banking secrecy, data protection, cession, sub-holdings, and any approvals which need to be obtained from guarantors, pool banks etc.

Portfolio valuation:

When calculating value, along with special methodological approaches to determining portfolio value, Covest always pays attention to “soft facts.” These may consist in the unique features of a particular transaction, or be adapted simply to current market conditions.

Negotiations on contract:

During the closing of a transaction it is important to deal assuredly with certain issues. These include, for example, such matters as legal efficacy and the enforceability of certain rights and their priority, and notification of the transaction to the creditors.
